THE DIVE CENTRE

THE DIVE CENTRE is situated in a superb location at the Puerto Calero Marina, and is both a BS-AC Premier and Seamanship Centre (No.312) and a PADI Dive Centre (S-798261). We offer a wide range of courses from introductory dives for the absolute beginner, internationally recognised BS-AC and PADI courses for those starting out, and a variety of more advanced courses for qualified divers wishing to further their diving experience.

Our instructors and dive guides are highly qualified and speak English, French, German and Spanish, and are on hand to give advice on your diving requirements.

The first class facilities in the centre include: changing area with hot showers and toilet, personal equipment storage, and equipment wash and hang area. A full range of top quality diving equipment, in a good selection of sizes, is available for hire if you do not wish to bring your own, including Faber lightweight steel cylinders in 10, 12 and 15 litres with DIN and INT valves, Scubapro regulators fitted with octopus and twin gauge consoles, and Beaver one piece 5mm semi-dry suits.

We also have two compressors which constantly provide good, clean quality air for our divers. A retail shop is provided on the premises offering a wide selection of snorkelling and scuba diving equipment for sale.

For the certified diver we offer morning and afternoon guided shore and boat dives, and night dives are available on request. Whilst many of the dive sites can be made as shore dives, we offer a skippered RIB which not only is more comfortable and convenient, but also allows us to visit less accessible dive locations.

Our boat is a Valiant 7.5 metre RIB powered by a Volvo Penta 150 h.p. inboard diesel engine, and fully equipped with VHF DSC radio and GPS/Plotter/Sounder. First-aid and oxygen kits are always carried on board. The boat is conveniently berthed just 40 metres from the dive centre.

Puerto Calero Marina is easily accessed by road, 10 minutes drive from Puerto del Carmen, 30 minutes from Costa Teguise and 25 minutes from Playa Blanca. Ample car parking is available, and the marina is also adequately served by taxis and buses. A wide selection of restaurants, bars and shops are to be found in the marina, making it a great location to spend the day, have lunch and browse between dives. Non-diving partners will love it as well! With two top quality hotels on our doorstep (5 Star Hesperia Lanzarote and 4 Star Iberostar Costa Calero), Puerto Calero has become a top holiday resort in it's own right.
