Georg Reichelmann – Owner – Diving Instructor & Guide
Georg comes from Bavaria and is responsible for the education of the beginners up to the diving instructors.
Georg is PADI Staff Instructor and CMAS 3* Instructor
He started diving in 1978 and has many years of experience of not only training novices but also developing the skills of experienced divers.
Georg has been diving in Lanzarote for 20 years.
Also for problems with your equipment, Georg has over the years built up many tips and tricks providing solutions making things easy and efficient.
Furthermore, Georg can train in four languages. English, Spanish, Dutch and German or correctly speaking in Bavarian.
Iain Irving – Owner – Diving Instructor & Guide
Iain is from Cumbria, in the North of England, where he started his diving career in January 2001.
He started diving in Thailand and has dived at every opportunity around the world ever since.
Iain is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and a keen Tec Diver who started instructing in the UK before moving to the warmer climate of Lanzarote in 2014.
He enjoys teaching in the classroom almost as much as in the ocean. If you are interested in learning new skills, he will be the person to ask. Iain favourite dives are night dives.
Víctor Fernández Montero – Diving Instructor – aka Samurai
Víctor was born in Madrid and started diving in 2010 when he did his first diving course in Calpé Spain.
He has been a PADI Instructor for 2 years working in Gran Canaria before moving to Lanzarote in 2018. He speaks Spanish, English and is learning French.
Apart from diving, Víctor’s hobbies are waterpolo, surfing and skateboarding.
Marie Donnohue – Centre Admin /Tea Lady -aka Cinderella
Marie was born in Dumfries, Scotland and lived in Cumbria for too long before moving to Lanzarote with Iain in 2014.
She is a PADI Rescue Diver but spends most of her time in the office looking after our divers before , during and after their holidays.
Her hobbies are housework, ironing & going to the gym. Yeah Right!
The kettle is always on and she makes a great cuppa.
John & Ailsa – Retired – aka Piggy and Granny
John Retired from Island Watersports in 2017. Both he and Ailsa are still a big part of the IWS family and pop down for a dive when they can fit it in.
They are enjoying spending time together and touring our beautiful Island on John’s motorbike as well as numerous dive holidays in El Hierro.
John is the specialist for the “small stuff” and never goes on a dive without his camera. Lots of his photographs you can see on our facebook page.
